I find it very odd and a little scary that supposedly "Technically Savvy" people on this forum can't do a simple Google search to find applications.

Amazing...

Please don't bump threads, people will find your post, don't worry.  Try google first.  Third, if you know some software is no longer free, don't ask for a 'free' version.   thank you.

Loved this gps soft Beeline
http://www.visualgps.net/BeelineGPS/default.htm

Great translator, i use German portuguese and italian on my incite
http://www.slovoed.com/

Best calculator ever made for ppc, i used all versions of this since i got the Hp iPaq rx3715 back in 2004.
http://www.spacetime.us/

they all have trial software.

Also use igo 8 from nav n go, but thers no trial version i think ><, from the gps soft i've used this is by far the best choice, i did try destinator, tomtom, pocket stress and some others with my older hw6945 phone

Microsoft has released a tag reader that uses your phone's camera to read their colorful version of QR Codes, called Microsoft Tags (of course).  Here is an example of one:

You can create tags containing a web link, plain text, a vCard (great for printing on your business cards), or even a phone dialer.  You'll probably start seeing these in print ads, online, on billboards, business cards, etc...

They already have a TagReader for the Inicte, along with a bunch of other handsets.

You can download the app at http://gettag.mobi.

PS Shut XP

http://freewareppc.com/utilities/psshutxp.shtml

This program allows you to:
Turn the Backlight off
Shut Down your Pocket PC
and Soft Reset without having to use the Soft Reset button

It also has an option to place a shortcut on the Today screen for quick access.

I've got a couple good keyboard/mouse programs.

Gremote
This lets you control your computer with your phone. You can even use the phone's keyboard to input text. However, it doesn't work so well with the G-sensor, and it doesn't recognize it for the mouse. Or the joystick, for that matter. If you can get either to work with the Incite tell me how. You need the .net compact framework 3.5 to use Gremote, it'll use windows device center installer (vista) (and probably activesync for XP, i don't know.) to install it.

Windows Device center for Vista:

.NET Compact Framework 3.5 SP1
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ab99342f-5d1a-413d-8319-81da479ab0d7&DisplayLang=en

Gremote:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427097

PPC Connector
This lets you control your phone with your computer. So vice versa of Gremote. It even lets you use your mouse. It's pretty cool. Like Gremote, you need activesync on your computer, so use the link above for vista, or the included software with your incite for XP.
PPC Connector:
http://www.trancreative.com/rkb.aspx

P.S. If you can find a program that will let me skip the computer and just use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to control my Incite, let me know. I know I can use a keyboard, I'm just not going to buy one until they invent a program for the mouse too.

These both work on my Incite. I haven't tried using them both at the same time, it might cause a thermonuclear explosion. Control your phone with your computer with your phone with your computer... et cetera. I don't feel like creating a feedback loop.

Disclaimer: Installing any software can be detrimental to the health of your phone or computer. I've just listed what has worked for me. I don't take any responsibility for damage to your phone, computer, or toaster. DO NOT blame me if you mess up with this. Backup all files on your phone before updating the .NET framework. DO NOT use this software to subvert the US government, however any other government I don't really care about.

"My Mobile" gives you a GUI of your mobile on your computer screen and full control. Run the setup via Activesync.

S2U2 - "slide to unlock 2" is a program that gives you a little slider to unlock the phone (better than that dumb gray screen).   It has lots of great customization options that you can put on the screen (I have mine showing battery level, new alerts, alarm, clock, and weather).  Find it at http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/Enhancements/S2U2-52386.shtml

Diamond TV - watch live tv on your phone.  Tons of channels.  Works great.  Enough said.  http://www.diamondtv.fr/

Hi I am trying to install the S2U2 WQGA version on my LG Incite. Its a zip file. Does this S2U2 work on LG incite

Unzip it on your computer (using WinZip etc), then install it to your phone.

Garmin Mobile XT GPS

This file is the actual program and there is an included keygen for the passwords and step-by-step instructions:

http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=54c6636b4e3a39510ff0f65ef7ce5540

And you need to install the map program to get the maps. The North America map program can be found here (Download all 5 parts):

http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=998e4434431c02018a2aaa81beb014da
http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=2136dccbbcb74d6899c2ef02545d480a
http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=6f3f4d1a8d6d6367bd9b357d9c228b4b
http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=0c28caaa7a91cc9c187449b82e48c7f2
http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=1c845f969946a7c78c3b07428f5cd689

To do this, I would recommend at LEAST a 2Gb memory card. The program and maps may take up to 1.5 Gigs if I recall correctly. Depends on which states/countries you select. A full list of maps can be found here, but you need to register on the Noeman forums to gain access to the files:

http://www.noeman.org/gsm/symbian-os-9-1-applications/64037-all-about-garmin-all-versions-all-maps-available-help.html

To make it not use data, you need to disable your Incite from being able to use MediaNet for internet browsing. To do this, go to:

Start>Settings>Connections Tab>Connections>Manage Existing Connections

-From here, add a new connection named "My Connection". For the number, put something that won't work. I just used "black.black". Select this connection. It will then try to connect to that connection instead of MediaNet for web browsing and aGPS. This will not affect your MMS.

*Note: It will still TRY to connect, so you will still see your icon change from the antenna icon to the "E" or "3G" depending on your area, but don't freak. Give it a second and it will turn right back to the antenna icon.

ALL CREDIT FOR THE ABOVE GO TO NOEMAN GSM FORUMS, EXCEPT FOR THE HOW-TO FILE. THAT ONE IS MINE.

Does anyone know if this sofware is still working correctly?  I have tried to load this program several times to no avail.  It keeps asking for a Garmin gps connection. Thank You
