Windows Mobile 6.5 and 6.1 custom ROMs for dummies. NEW ROMs available!  Updated: Jan 16th, 2010.

WMX WM6.5/6.1 All-In-One Flasher:
Meaning it contains everything you need to flash your phone.  The all-in-one flasher contains the official LG ROM flasher + Custom (cook) ROM + Official LG USB Driver.  It automates all the coping and renaming and downloading works.
Upon flashing/updating ROM, it will tell you the name of the ROM you're flashing, so no more guess work.
Why make a new flasher?  Because it's fun and only take a few minute to build one, and all you need is WinXP or Windows 7. Have fun and enjoy.

  3. Dark Wolf 23047 Final 4.1 setup.exe
     Please install WMX WM6.5 Tweaks Sp3-hotfix.cab to fix power cut off while running media player.
    And Please install WMX Replication Fix:

     (Recommended as everyday phone.)
     Please install WMX Replication Fix.

  5. Dark Wolf 23506 - Final setup.exe
    (King of all Incite ROMs. Must have, Best Yet. Native lockscreen is actually functional for everyday use and phone wake up fast, and more stable.  )
     Please install WMX Replication Fix version 1.1, new as of 11/11/09.

  6. Dark_Wolf_28205_Final_setup.exe
    (Even more stable than 23506 and faster lockscreen, but it is missing the Red End Call button from the dialer - you can choose to disable skin or simply use the hardware button.)
     Please install WMX Replication Fix version 1.1 after a successful flash.

System Requirement:  
  Assessable Drive C and Windows XP or Windows 7  
  Use compatibility mode in Windows 7.
  For non-English version of OS, please read this link.

Instruction:
  Step 0: Make sure you backup whatever you need from the phone memory.  Flashing will erase phone memory.
  Step 1: Select and Download the XXXX_setup.exe
  Step 2: Launch the installer and follow the prompt.
  Step 3: (Optional) After sucessful ROM update, please uninstall the program because the actual rom file is removed.
  Step 4: If fail, launch installer in Windows Safe Mode (Press F5 while rebooting)

If you get connection error, please uninstall all previous LG USB drivers and install the one come with this installer.

this is what SHOULD of been DONE long ago, for people have had trouble since xCite 3 was relased, most members here would welcome a simple EXE This will save ALOT of trouble,

Hydros flasher is for pros and this one is for dummies.    Well, actually, it's much easier this way so people won't make silly mistakes or compatibility issue.  When you get a new rom out, give me a heads up and I can repackage it.  I can definitely spend 2 minutes for you.

Back by popular demand.  I added spocky's xCite 2b rom.  This is a WM6.1 rom.  See post #1.

Spockys 2b 6.1 is the only ROM that really only works 100% correctly, I still love the 6.1

are you going to make one for the Dark Wolf?

also, anyone know if this works on 7?  7 seems to have more compatibility options than vista, I'm hoping I won't have to install an XP partition just to flash my phone again.

I've added Dark Wolf 23047 Revised. 

Very good build - Both Dark and I see some random memory leaks.   Interface and navigation is better than xCite3.  Good enough for most apps but not for memory intensive apps like Need for Speed G Sensor version.

Use opera... i think OPera mini (5 or 9)--which should be the same, look for the newest java based one-- is the best thing ever made, in history.... except it has no flash... but its nice fast and looks great with its keyboard
