Hello Workingman here, I need Someone To make a video review of the Incite for the website, Please and Thank you
Hi,
The BOSS Workingman<My little Ego moment Smiley > here with the New official update to Your incite ROM, Its Version V10X, Update your phone. Its better.
(At anytime if you like my work, you can throw a cookie my way, and it will feed my helping/video hand)

Ok, so there was a thread on here about the beta software from LG that lets you update your phone. Well, as it is, the software has some issues that I have found a way around.

You will need three things.
1. Download the beta software from LG here: http://www.lge.com/us/mobile-phones/beta-program.jsp (Thank you teoami)

2. Download the usb modem driver here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2gmmmfgtnk5 (thanks Dark for the upload)

3. Download WDLFILE.exe: http://mobilephones.us.lge.com/images/support/resources/LG_SmartPhone_SW_Upgrade_CT810_V10x_Ship.exe-Offical 10X
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?tzjlwgdm3zo Spocky 10X

The file below is the official ROM update from LG. It will update the ROM version, the bootloader, and the modem firmware. It is, however, the same build number of WinMo 6.1.

Install the update software to your PC like normal.
Install the usb modem driver.
Backup anything important becuase this will wipe your phone.
Plug the usb cable into the PC.
Power off your phone and enter Emergency Download mode by holding down [Vol Down + Lock] and insert the usb cable.
Double-Click the file V10I_00.exe and it will self-extract. Once it is done, it will open the update utility.
Click "update" and it will take care of the rest.
Your phone will restart and will go straight to charging since it is plugged in. (the Incite has always done this)
Just hit the power button and it will continue booting.

You are done!
Just go through the normal Windows Setup and thats about it. Hit Restore and your good.

I have noticed a slight change in speed and thats about it, Finger scrolling is alot better.

CAUTION: any time you flash your phone, you run the risk of bricking your phone. I will not be liable.

THANKS TO TEOAMI For his instructions AND The (NUB) chamorrita97 for extracting The EXE from the updater.

Okay Travellar said This is a better way, I wouldnt know. But here u go

1. Boot into safe mode on Windows XP (eliminates the trouble of software interfering with file extraction).
2. Delete any existing LGMOBILEAX directory (c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX).
3. Double-click the WDLFile.exe and let it do its work.
4. Reboot into full Windows.
5. Navigate to the SmartPhoneSetup directory within the LGMOBILEAX directory (c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX\SmartPhoneSetup)
6. Double-click on "SP_Starter.exe"
7. Follow the instructions on screen. (Set the phone to emergency mode, et al.)

Also watch my video on How to flash and what apps to get.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/JvSnjkGAfYM&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/JvSnjkGAfYM&rel=1</a>

How to get the annoying message sent/delivered...... not sure which one thing off your phone(The alexpete way)

(After Reg Editer is installed)

Goto: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Inbox>Settings
Change the data of SMSNoSentMSG to "1" not "0"
and soft reset
and (magic sounds here) no more dang alert

When you say "Double-Click the file V10I_00.exe and it will self-extract. Once it is done, it will open the update utility.", do you mean the wdlfile.exe??  I tried flashing this last night (when I was like.. what the hell).  I couldn't get it to work using the normal flashing utility.  I've got myself pumped to try it again but just want to make sure I have the steps down right.

It looks like he cut and pasted from the V10i post. WDLFile.exe is the file you want to double click.

I'm doing it right now. What I'm curious about is why we even need to download the beta updater and USB software, given that the EXE has all the software already included in it when you extract it. For V10I, I just ran the EXE in safe mode, then rebooted and ran the update software that was included in the EXE. The built-in software worked just fine.

Question for yall experts... how do you normally go about resetting up your phone after you flash?  Any tips on making this any less painful?  This will be my 5th time reflashing my phone and it really is a pain having to reset up my email, installed programs, customization for the programs, registry edits for things like ring tone file size limit, gestures, removing some things from startup etc.

I have all my cabs stored on a storage card, except Garmin. I use the built-in file explorer to install them. Then I sync my phone to my computer and download all my contacts and calendar info, then install the main Garmin software to the phone. I created a cab file for the two tweaks that I use on my incite: ringtone size, and setting .net 3.5 to default.

Customizing Opera is a little annoying, but minor. Tweaking links in the favorites tab is the time consuming part.

Yes. Tested and verified.

<random musings>Though I have still not been able to figure out what prevents me from extracting the files in anything but safe mode. I shut down my firewall, so that isn't it. It's either Spybot, Avast, Ad-Aware, or Spywareblaster that's stopping me.</random musings>

Would you mind posting those 2 cabs?

Worked great on my machine.

Odd thing, though. The upgrade was at about 13% and then the USB port was suddenly not recognized. The software continued to "upgrade" the non-connected phone.

I booted it up, and (lo and behold) version 10x!

I'm playing with it now.

Thanks to Workingman for this package!

Extra feature: Toolbar customization (thank you LG!)
Memory available:
   Storage: 74.04 MB
Program: 36.72 MB (no thanks to the AT&T bloatware)
Seems a lot more sensitive to screen taps, even better than 10i with very light screen calibration

That's it so far

@kravguy: One cab, encompassing both tweaks. http://www.mediafire.com/?qmnmmyj2dqz

@alexpete: I've found that on both V10I and V10X the added files Workingman wants you to download may not be necessary. Try this:

Let us know your results.
