This works great for me, you may disagree.

I have programmed my camera button (button1) to <Input>.  This allows me to easily toggle the keyboard on and off while browsing, texting, etc.

Next I programmed the scroll wheel (Voice Command button) to <LGCamera>.  A press of the wheel allows me to turn on the camera when desired, while preventing accidental photography so common with the original button configuration.  Once the camera is turned on, the original camera button (button 1) reverts to shutter control, just like it did before the change.

Yes, you can do that, with either the scroll button or button 1.  I really wish there was a way to change the lock button to something else, because I NEVER use the lock.

Thanks, Miranda, for your tip on reprogramming the camera button and scroll wheel (which you call Voice Command button).  This is just what I have been looking for.  I programmed my camera button to activate Voice Command, so I just press it and speak a command, like "What is my battery level?", without having to put on my reading glasses and do multiple taps on the screen.  The camera functions a little differently with this setup than what you described.  The former camera button is used to activate autofocus, but it will not take the picture.  To do that, you have to press the scroll wheel button.

I have a little problem.

I changed the Button 1 to <Input Panel> and Voice CMD to LG Camera. When I tried exiting it gave me this message:

Each program button must have a unique button assignment. Please select a different button assignment.

It highlights the bottom four options, each of which says Button and is assigned to <Context Menu>. Seeing as how I don't know what each of these "buttons" is, I don't want to change the assignment. They are not uniquely labeled in any way, shape, or form. I can't exit the menu now. Tongue

Ryan, I havent' checke din a while so hopefully you aren't still stuck in that menu Wink  I would suggest changing the camera button to input first, then exit, then go back in and change the scroll button to camera.  The computer sees one step at a time.  It sounds like the phone looked at the request to change the scroll button to camera,  first, and since internally the camera button is still set to camera, it thinks you are trying to program both buttons for the same function.  It hits the wall before it gets a chance to realize you are changing the phone button also.

those 4 selections don't appear to be active, don't know why they added them, but change them to <none> and you will b able to exit
