wonderfully informative thread. got it working. very responsive (next up is gps registry hack ... a question if i may for any user: 1) can i use the incite as a gps puck? i would like to install garmin mobile PC onto a laptop/netbook and use BT to transfer the gps data from the incite gps chip to the netbook. i've read that some garmin gps units allow this, and was wondering if it's possible on the incite & netbook. this way, i can leave my current gps puck and just bring and incite and netbook on the road. thanks all

Just used this to add Garmin to my eXpo. And if anyone is interested I have a zip file with 8 voices: Borat Cartman Devil Governator Jill Pierre Pissant Sedara (explicit) Stewie http://www.mediafire.com/file/z2umzmm2utd/Garmin voices.zip I have tested them all on my eXpo and the work properly. They are all named English_American_.vpm but in the zip they are in separate folders. I copied all the folders in the zip to \storage card\Garmin\voice To change voices, I use file explorer to navigate into the folder of the voice I want to use and then copy and paste it into \storage card\garmin\voice to replace the standard American English voice. The next time I start Garmin I have a different voice tellin' me where to get off.

I copied a new unlocked map for my garmin and now when I try to find anything it says I need detailed maps to perform. It doesn't seem to be finding my new map. I put my old gmapsupp file back in case it was something wrong with the file but it is still doing the same thing. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I've got the same issue, if anyone here can help out it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the tutorial ClearD!!! You are the man!!! It worked like a charm!! I did have a little trouble trying to put the map .img file onto my 8gb storage card. For some reason, I kept losing connection with activesync. After disabling firewalls, antivirus programs, etc., the transfer completed 100%. I now have detailed 2010 maps. Tried it out on the way to work tonight, and found it to be extremely accurate even down to the speed limit zones. Thanks a million!!! SHOUT OUT TO YOU AS WELL "DANBURKE888" AND "SOVERIGN" AND "COYAMA"!!! Your map image files, methods, and detailed info is greatly appreciated and well worth the wait!! U GUYS RULE!!!

hey udamanjg, i loaded the 2010.20 img map into my sd card, but I am still struggling to get it working? I went back to 2009 for now, but if you have some tips, then that'd be great. I'm assuming the mapinstall software is not needed to install teh 2010 maps?

Anaconda: Make sure you have gmapsupp.unl file in your \Storage Card\Garmin folder along with your gmapsupp.img file.

I have been using the Garmin GPS for two months now. working fine and using a chinese map set, with the Taiwan version of the program. I thank you for the info and that GPSone stand alone option was a great help

I installed everything correctly but still does not work with my HTC touch pro. Maybe I set wrong GPS port. Still, this is good GPS program although I like iGo gps better.

2011.20 is available for download from a certain Swedish site I cannot link to directly (as per the rules of the forum). Map ID 2265.
Get the version that requires Mapsource, because as of yet there isn't an .IMG file available that includes Mexico.

Looks like most of the links are dead.
I was able to get the 'just USA', but apparently it is only 2D at least that's all I could display. Guess I'm reverting back to 2009.
