what roms have proper vibrate, i tried some random ones and ended on a dark wolf but i with the dark wolf i noticed the vibrate is much weaker than with the lg10x.  is there a way to set it back or is it a casualty of the 6.5 being unofficial precook

never had a problem with the vibrate if anything there might be a reg setting somewhere but maybe the motor for the vibration in your phone is going bad?

if i flash back to 10x it works fine, so its not going bad.  i could not find anything in the reg, so could that be a driver

Check the settings. Your ROM may have the default vibrate set to "short". It was on the ROM I used. Set it to "medium" instead.
