I'm not using a 3rd party program to connect. I did have a thought though. What is the firmware version on your phone. Is it V10h or V10i. If it is V10h maybe it has to do with the firmware. Mine is V10i. I've only successfully used internet sharing under the V10i firmware. Under V10h I just couldn't get it to connect, but that really wasn't a problem for me since I rarely tether my phone to my laptop.

ok so you just tether using internet sharing?  i guess since you don't use it a lot, internet sharing isn't a priority for you.  as for me i use internet (or need to use internet sharing) a lot.  ok i checked my phone and i do have the v10h, how do i update to v10i?  i am guessing the v10i is the most updated firmware for the lg incte?

thanks.

Go to the following thread:

http://www.lg-incite.com/lg-incite-tutorials/incite-rom-update-to-v10i!/

Be warned though. You should read the posts in the thread first. There is also the possibility of bricking your phone. Proceed at your own risk.

I'm using 10X and mine always says waiting for network. But it's working now. Thanks, again. Grin

I am able to tether with no problem, just by plugging in the USB cable.  No configuration necessary  Grin
I am running Ubuntu on my laptop.  It has worked for both 9.04 and 9.10 beta with both the stock 10x and spocky's 6.5 cooked rom.  I haven't tried it with the bluetooth, and not having bluetooth on my lappy, I can't test it.
